Can you play vlc through firefox browser?

Likely a silly question but the reason I ask is because firefox also has the ability to have a always on top player, but more importantly it's borderless and can be resized and moved anywhere without needing the title bar.
Whereas VLC has the title bar that can't be hidden
It doesn't seem like it's going to be a VLC feature so looking for a workaround.
