VLC varies pitch

Postby musicadianBS » 07 Apr 2021 22:47

Hello,
New member here so excuse me if this subject has been dealt with. On Windows 10 Pro, VlC varies the audio pitch randomly on audio and video files. This happens on two different laptops. It was also happening to me on my older laptops running Windows 7. I have noticed this for years but was hoping it would go away on a new laptop. Also sometimes the audio will start out distorted.
Thanks

Try another audio output module:
http://wiki.videolan.org/WindowsFAQ-2.0 ... _anomalies

And/or:
Disable time stretching in the audio preferences in Menu Tools -> Preferences -> Audio
Use a faster resampler or no resampler at all in Menu Tools -> Preferences (Show Settings = ALL) -> Audio -> Audio Resampler

After the changes save the preferences then exit and restart VLC.
