How to turn off the control panel overlay?
I'm not sure how to word it but I want to hide this minimal control panel from ever being displayed from fullscreen video playback.

Hit Ctrl + P to open prefs and in the opening Interface menu remove the checkmark from "Show controls in full screen mode". Save, exit and restart vlc.
