I attached a NAS storage resp. a Mediaserver to my LAN and my router.
I can access this Mediaserver from Windows Explorer. It is up and running.
Now I wan to do the same not from Windows Explorer but from WITHIN newest VLC videoplayer.
Therefore I clicked on menu
Media--->Open Folder....
and then in the folder selection box on "Network"
For a second or two the Router and the MediaServer appear (beside the other computers in LAN).
Then suddenly Router and Mediaserver disappear.
Opening the folder selection dialog does not help.
I have to restart the whole computer (I guess to cleanup some (VLC) cache) to reproduce this.
So why does VLC not show the Router and the NAS-Mediaserver permanently?
I guess VLC applies internalyl some exclude filter rules.
How can I let VLC show up all video sources?
Has this something to do with UPnP or DNLA?
Again: Keep in mind: From Windows I can access and play the media files.
So in general it seems to be ok.
