Please open Tools -> Messages (set Verbosity to 2) before you start the playback, and then paste the full resulting log here or on Pastebin.com if it's too long.

Also upload a short sample of your original problematic file to Zippyshare.com or to WeTransfer.com and then post the link to the file here.
https://www.zippyshare.com
https://wetransfer.com

If needed cut it with DGsplit and read here about how to do it:
https://forum.videolan.org/viewtopic.ph ... 35#p193335
100 MB max should be enough.

If reset preferences does not help, then VLC developers need your feedback here: https://forum.videolan.org/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=156428

I don't think the "messages" will be useful but here:

main debug: auto hiding mouse cursor
main debug: VoutDisplayEvent 'mouse button' 0 t=8
main debug: VoutDisplayEvent 'mouse button' 0 t=9
main debug: auto hiding mouse cursor
main debug: toggling pause

mmdevice debug: state changed: 1
main debug: toggling resume
mmdevice debug: state changed: 0

Done and done.

Same thing happen, I don't think I will found any help on this forum, I asked elsewhere and they give great input, but thank you for trying.

Done and done.

You have done nothing of what has been asked.
The full log does mean the full log, from the very beginning to the very end. And you have just posted few lines.
And no sample file at all.

Hey actually I have the same problem and unfortunately there is no solution for this. I tried nearly 20-25 media players and still there is no solution. The reason for this problem is because DOLBY VISION is still not supported in VLC and in any media software. You can try using it in any TV's🙃. I had the same format as yours and the same result I tried different blogs forums and website still nothing. The only way is to wait till Dolby vision support or get an 4K x265 HEVC (MKV) file that will work.
