Audio doesn't start for 1-2 seconds

Normally everything works fine, but with the last video I was opening, for each of the episodes I tried, the audio would not start for about 1.5 seconds and would then start playing normally. It isn't really a delay, as once it starts it goes on normally. It literally just feels like it is "opening" still for an additional second. Like the first second is cut out. It also has this laggy start to it once it begins, similar to how it would sound if you suddenly swapped audio tracks I suppose.

I understand the issue is with this specific file as nothing else causes this issue, however I am still writing for help as that file still opens fine without the sound lag at start in other players.
If it helps at all, the Audio codec is Opus Audio.

I also just updated the player to the latest version and the issue still persists.

Please open Tools -> Messages (set Verbosity to 2) before you start the playback, and then paste the full resulting log here or on Pastebin.com if it's too long.

Also upload your original problematic file to Zippyshare.com or to WeTransfer.com and then post the link to the file here.

If needed cut it with DGsplit and read here about how to do it:

100 MB max should be enough.

Yes, I can reproduce the issue, the sound somehow 'jumps' at the beginning while it's playing fine with other players.

You should create a new ticket on the VLC Trac with your above report, the link to your sample file and the link to this thread:
