Converting from VOB

Postby jonbondy » 16 Jan 2021 23:34

I made a DVD over 10 years ago, and want to convert the VOB files on that DVD into something that other people can view (MP4, perhaps). I tried Converting using VLC, and the output videos all have horrible interlace problems. When I play the original VOB files, they do not have these problems. After trying 3 different output formats at random, I figured I should ask for help.

What do I need to do to get an output file that has the same quality as the input file please?

I'm running VLC 3.0.11 under Windows 10 64-bit

You'll probably be better off using Handbrake which is a dedicated video converter and then just use vlc for playback. https://handbrake.fr/
