I have looping on https://i.imgur.com/bgWrpBk.png . (Or so I think. Neither tooltip nor documentation says which icon means looping on.)

But playback fails to loop. At the end of each clip, playback stops.

Any ideas?

It's the second one from the right. If you hover the mouse over it you'll see the tooltip shown in the screenshot.
