Hello,

I have two questions for you:
First question: Is your application free for ever?
Second question: If i play wave format files with your application, do i hear sound from wave format file or your application convert it to other format file and i hear sound from other format file?

P.S

It would be nice if moderators of VLC media player answer me for this question, because i want to be sure for this.

Best regards,

Milos Kovacevic

Vlc is open source and therefore free. https://www.videolan.org/

Playback of audio files in .wav format will take place without converting them to another format. https://wiki.videolan.org/Documentation ... art_Guide/

My question: I forgot to ask for VLC for Android. Does it also apply for VLC for Android?

Best regards,

Milos

You should post that question in the dedicated VLC for Android forum: https://forum.videolan.org/viewforum.php?f=35

VLC converts the audio to whatever format the OS audio output hardware abstraction layer wants. This depends on the OS and the hardware. If that happens to be exactly the same as what the input file does, then and only then, there will be no conversion.

Check the VLC logs for case by case details.
