VLC freezes for 10 mins when trying to play IPTV

Hey there,
When trying to stream IPTV (m3u file) on VLC, the program freezes for almost 10 mins and show a "not responding" message. when left like that it'll work after a while.

Even when trying to search for channel in "playlist" it'll freeze again before showing the searched channel after a minute or so.

Any advice on how to fix that?
