VLC become unusable, white window that does not respond

Hello,

for about 3 weeks, VLC has not responded as soon as I launch it.
I do not know if it is useful to specify it, but I did the latest Windows 10 updates.

I tried to uninstall and re-install the 32-bit version, then the 64-bit version, but I always end up with the same result.

When I install it and launch it immediately after, it works instantly, but as soon as I close it, impossible to reuse it even after a restart of the computer, a white window opens with the title that VLC does do not answer. and it no longer works. Besides, I can't even finish the task, it doesn't work! I am then forced to restart the computer to close the window ...

Can you help me please ?

Thank you in advance for your response.

Did you try to delete the %appdata%/vlc folder?

Already done when I desinstalled.
I had erased the preferences.

Check your installed Antivirus Software.

I desinstalled my antivirus Kaspersky, and all is ok now.

I will re-installed and try allow VLC for to see. But I had the problem with Vmware, Windows update too...
Maybe I will change my antivirus.

Thank you for the advice.
I re-installed vlc several times, each time removing the preferences. But there was no improvement.
After trying to remove files in %appdata%/vlc, 2 files were remaining, one of them was a lock file.
I could finally remove them with windows starting in command prompt mode.
Now vlc works fine again
