In VLC Version 2.2.8 you can play and control two Videos synchron with the Menu / Open Multiple Files... and "Play another Media synchronously".

All VLC-Player Versions 3.x will not work with the useful Feature (Play and control two Videos synchronously).

Hope someone can find a Solution for the VLC-Player Version 3.x.

You may need to select video tracks depending on file format policy.

1) Please open in the Menu "Open Multiple Files..." the Video-Example

a)
with VLC-Player 2.2.8 (32-Bit) and activate the Option "Play another Media synchronously" with

b)
and Start playing with the [Play]-Button.
Don't forget to activate the Loop-Funktion in the VLC-Player!


2) Repeat the Workflow with VLC-Player Version 3.x, for Example 3.0.11 (64-Bit).
Try Windows 7 or Windows 10 as Operating System.


3) Please describe the Changes in the "File Format Policy" between Version 2.x and 3.x. or add a Link for the Source.
For me it looks like a Bug in all VLC-Player Versions 3.x.

Could not find any Change in the File Format Policy with the Changelog: VLC-Player - Feature-Formats support: VLC-Player - Streaming Features: Does the "File Format Policy" in the VLC-Player Versions 3.x forbidden to play two Videos synchronously?
I can't believe that.

What is Your Check Result?

MP4 file format selects a single video track by default. This is intended.

By the Way, you can also download the Images and open it from lokal Computer-Drive.

What is Your Check Result?

The result in both cases is that I have two video tracks, of which one is enabled by default, as intended.

1) Yes, the two Video Tracks play in an own Desktop-Window synchron with Version 2.x, as intended and both Video Tracks can controlled with one VLC-Player in the GUI (Version 2.x).

That's the missing Function in Version 3.x, to compare two Videos.
Hope there is a simple Solution to repair the Function play synchronously.

2) By the way, when I try to play an Video-Track with an alternative Audio-Track the synchronously Play with the following Http Live Stream does not work in Version 3.0.11 (64-Bit) under Windows 10.

Hope anybody find the Time to repair the missing Function.
