RTMP stops playing in a few seconds

Hello,

This URL only plays ~5 seconds in VLC version 2.2.6 and 2.2.8. It does not play in 3.0.8. I am using Windows 10. The URL doesn't work in any version of VLC on Windows 7.
rtmpt://vss2live.dot.ga.gov:80/lo/gdot-cam-300.stream

Does anyone know how to make the stream play / play longer? Thanks in advance. Your help is much appreciated.

When I play it in 2.2.X, this is the debug output:

Code: Select all

Usually, RTMP requires at least one other parameter, most of the time the URL of the player (corresponding to Rtmpdump -W option).
Example: http://admin.brightcove.com/viewer/federatedVideoUI/BrightcovePlayer.swf

Sorry, I did not mention I was using VLC player to view the stream (Media -> Open Network Stream -> paste in rtmpt://vss2live.dot.ga.gov:80/lo/gdot-cam-300.stream). Is there a way to provide the swf link in VLC player?

Maybe using Show more options -> Edit Options , or using command line, but I don't know how to use these options though, sorry.

Anyway, food for thought:
