Chromecast problem

I don't know if the picture clearly evokes the problem .. Hello!
I test iptv and consider buying. The idea was to release iptv from mobile (ios) to chromecast.
Since I found out that chromecast doesn't chew .ts, so it doesn't release most channels without transcoding, my next idea was to insert a list into a plex server that spins on my pc all day.
Here's the problem that plex dropped plugins.
I further dug up a vlc that can stream iptv to chromecast with the pc, but the problem is - some channels work ok, but most hd channels (if not all) stream only to the top half of the screen. In some, the lower half is black, in others it does some mirroring of colors like the photo below.
I think the picture is whole, but narrowed down.
Does anyone know how to solve a problem and what's the catch?

Hi, sorry I wasn't clear, I meant the original video so we can try to reproduce the issue :)

Can you dump a sample from the stream though ? If we can't reproduce, we can't fix it unfortunately :/

Since chromecast can't play .ts from IPTV, how do you get pc to do transcode of streeming video?

I know I'm necro-ing this thread, but I've got the same problem: tearing video and choppy audio when rendering to chromecast.

A bunch of files do it. They were created by MakeMKV from 1080 Blu-Ray sources (that look like they were upscaled to 1080 on the disc).

Interestingly, CPU usage when VLC renders these files to chromecast is MUCH lower than when it renders files that cast correctly.

I've tried messing aroung with the Chromecast stream output settings, to no avail.

I'm able to provide a sample file to allow developers to investigate, although the smallest file is over 2GB. More importantly, since the source is a commercial recording, I don't want to publish a link to the file publicly. Can I provide a link to a VLC developer privately?

Hi, you can send them to me via private message, I'll see what we can do.

Many thanks; message sent.

I did some further testing. The file plays perfectly when cast to the Chromecast from my Android tablet when not using VLC. I think that rules out problems with the file, Chromecast, TV, network, etc. When I cast to the Chromecast from VLC on my Android tablet, the tearing and crackling return. I think this means the problem is in VLC code common to the Windows and Android builds.

Hi, I've received the file without issue, I've been looking for my chromecast but it plays hide and seek in my cardboard boxes. I'll keep you posted.

Thank you! Good luck with your boxes. In case it makes any difference, my Chromecast is the first version, I think.
