About Contestual menu

Hi guys and big compliments for vlc player ... :D :D :D
I wish to know how can I remove vlc from contextual menu ( right click) ,
because i like to have a simple contextual menu :lol: :lol:

Yeah, this would be very nice and useful to know. That is, previous versions of VLAN never added context menu items to the shell, for example, if you right-click on the Recycle Bin on your desktop, there's two items added to it:
"Add to VLC media player's Playlist"
"Play with VLC media player"

Those are useless, and it would be nice to know how you can remove them, or even prevent them from being installed :)

I think I found the solution. In regedit, the entries are located at:

HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Folder\shell\AddToPlaylistVLC
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Folder\shell\PlayWithVLC

Removing those two should remove the thingies from the context menu :)

Or simpler: run the uninstaller, and re-run the installer, this time without checking the option for contextual menus :)

my apologies to bring back a dead thread, but doing that did not remove the context menu shell extensions.
Reinstalling and uninstalling did not remove it.
But I did remove it from the registry.
