saving a video

I took a video at a concert. It shows up horizontally except when I open it in VLC it shows . However I cannot upload it to you tube from VLC unless I can name it and save it in the correct format. YOutube used to have a feature to rotate videos but it seems that is no longer available. Can anyone help?
