Sound disconnects playing VOB's

Evening friends!

For a while now VLC 3.0.7 has been unable to play VOB-format files properly. Sound disconnects at very exact positions of the films, it's like is goes off at a new chapter or segment of the files.

I've tried different sound settings, DirectX, Automatic, Windows Output Device etc. Nothing helps.

Searched the forum, no one else seems to have had this problem.

MP4-format works perfectly.

Is there a known issue with the VOB-format? Possible to fix?

uninstall old VLC and all of its files including preferences and cache, EVERYTHING. Then do a CLEAN install DO NOT use old preference and cache. See if that resolves your issue.

If you kept a previous version installer of VLC that did not have that issue. install, try that and see if you can get sound back properly. I have found everything after 2.2.8 to be very problematic.

sure 2.2.8 had some issues but nothing too damning compared with newer versions

Corey!

Tossed 3.0.7 using Revo Uninstaller, deleted everything: files, settings, folders. Then a clean of Windows registry using CCleaner, and a reboot.

Downloaded 2.2.8, installed it, turned off automatic updates.

And now VLC plays VOB's perfectly. Sad that newer versions have a problem, I hope developers find a way out of it.

Thank you!

That's weird, because there was fixes especially for that reason.
cut and upload file past break point
