If i put a audio cd in my computer it takes very long when VLC Player recognized it and will play it. Between 30 and 60 seconds it will takes before he can play a audio cd

This had not happened when i put a dvd in. A dvd will start directly.

When i put a cd in when Windows media player is activated as the standard autoplay, then he will load it directly.

Something goes wrong with VLC Player and audio cd's.

Does anoyne had experience with this.

I have the same problem, playing after about a 2 minute delay. This is on two different machines, both Dells. Never had a problem with VLC before. Put in the CD and however you get it to start, an orange streak goes endlessly back and forth. Other programs play the CDs fine as does my CD jukebox. They are both running the Windows 10 64 bit and have been updated to the last feature update, so suspect it may have something to do with that.

I have experienced the same issue. However, in my experience, it is not the VLC player. This occurs, for me, after Windows [10] downloads updates, but before the computer is re-started and the installation of updates is complete. Try shutting down device, re-starting, wait for updates to finish, then try a CD. As long as you have the CD autostart from tray setting selected, it should autostart in VLC as normal.

Same problem on four PC's, all running Windows 10 Pro, ver 1903. Results are identical on all machines. As far as I can tell, this started with the 1903 update. I have tried many shutdowns/restarts and all is fine for the first CD but then back to 60+ seconds for audio to play if switching CD's or performing other tasks with VLC. I have uninstalled latest VLC and installed previous versions and have also tried the 32 bit version but none of that helped. Issue appears to be incompatibility of VLC with Windows 1903.

The issue solved as of 7/5/2019, for me anyway.
