Unable to get VLC to work with Chromecast

VLC is not casting via Chromecast. I have followed the instructions online but after Renderer am unable to get it to SCAN as scanning is greyed out and does not respond.
I have the current version, on Windows !0 64 Bit with April update. Other media players cast OK.

I have not seen anything yet which deals with SCANNING being greyed out and not available
