How to open PRIVATE Youtube stream with vlc

I was wondering if there was any way to open a private Youtube stream with the vlc media player.

To watch a private Youtube stream, you need to have a gmail account and this account needs to be whitelisted by the stream's creator.
Here's a link to help you understand what I mean :

Is there any way to associate a gmail account to vlc so it can access this kind of stream?

Ex:
The stream creator starts a private stream and adds "abcTest@gmail.com" and "def@gmail.com" in his whitelist, so only these two accounts can access the stream with their connected/associated Youtube accounts.

Youtube settings for private videos

Contrary to popular opinion you don't need a gmail account to open a channel on Youtube. I have a YT channel myself and have hosted private videos on it, but I don't have a gmail account.

Ok, but if you want to see the stream private I'm hosting, you still need to get whitelisted/added to the a list of emails that can see my stream.

I just watched this video so I see what you're getting at.

But according to the author you have to associate your YT channel with Google+ and there lies a problem because Google has announced it's going to close Google+. They experienced a massive data breach recently which they kept quiet about and rather than risk another whopping great fine by the EU/US, it's chosen to terminate Google+ instead. I don't know if that will affect private videos.

Back to your question. I don't know of a way of associating a gmail address with vlc, but hopefully somebody else will.

I wasn't aware of all this data breach story! haha

But, anyways, the video you linked pretty much sums up how to make a video private (with the whitelistage I was referencing). (:

I hope there's a solution to my problem.
