VLC as video source issue...

Postby ashleyquick » 11 Aug 2018 05:49

Let me preface by saying this is partly an OBS question and your initial thought may be to ask me to go there to ask (1. I have and have reached an impasse because I'm not getting an answer, and 2) My OBS implementation uses VLC as the video source, why is why I'm posting here as well).

I've even completely uninstalled/reinstalled OBS Studio and it's still playing a video that was not only removed from the folder I've designated, it was removed from the computer (I'm live streaming a folder of mp4's to Youtube). ANY idea why this is happening?

Thank you for your time and hopeful understanding.

Hi, I have the feeling that you forgot to mention your issue in your post.

Nevertheless, we would need more precision on what you're trying to do, what doesn't work as expected, and VLC logs
To help you, we need messages, to completely understand what your problems is.
To fix this, please be sure before you start the playback to:
  1. Open: Tools -> Messages.
  2. Set Verbosity to 2
  3. Start playback to reproduce your issue
  4. Save text in a file or copy into clipboard
  5. Then paste the full resulting log here between [code]and[/code] (or use Pastebin.com if it's too long)
Also don't forget to name your Operating System and provide the VLC media player version.
