VLC v3.0.3 suddenly won't run

Worked for about an hour of testing out movies, then would no longer run properly. Upon opening a video file, VLC screen flashes then disappears. No trace of it in Task Manager. Nothing in the event viewer at the time of it having the issue. Anyone else had this issue?
I tried re-installing 3.0.1 (64-bit) and that was perfect. Re-installed 3.0.3 again and it ran for a little while, then started having the same issue again.
Wasn't sure what other info to give...
PC:
Windows 10 Pro (64-bit)
VLC:
3.0.3 (64-bit)

Reset preferences?

Reset preferences?
Tried a fresh install with all setting restarted, but did the same thing eventually, and all I changed was an audio setting so I can get the direct output. I've gone back to 3.0.1 until someone posts any other suggestions or a new version comes out that doesn't chuck a fit on my system.

Disable hardware decoding or change video output?

Tried both. It didn't make a difference at all. VLC still automatically shuts down as soon as I try to open something in it.

Try to reinstall the Vlc player, many a time this problem happens and then it happens because there are many updates of it and the user does not update the system. You have to first uninstall the Vlc player then update the current version and then install the update. Hope this will help you.
