Hi, I've been using VLC for a few months now on my desktop computer, running Windows 10. I use VLC to record other videos if I can't cleanly convert the footage myself. It is a dual monitor setup, but I've never had any trouble. I wanted VLC to only record the primary monitor's activities, and it seems to automatically do that. This is my work computer, and I never had to download VLC myself. The previous user of this computer had already downloaded it.
I just downloaded the portable VLC onto a USB drive so that my coworkers can utilize VLC for these same purposes, and I don't want them to have to download the entire VLC program onto their work computers because technically, we aren't supposed to do that. I have done a couple of test recordings with the portable VLC, and both times VLC has recorded BOTH monitors in the dual monitor setup.
The first test recording was done on a computer running Windows 7 Professional with dual monitors. The second test was on my own desktop computer, running Windows 10 with dual monitors. I can't figure out how to make VLC only record the primary monitor.
Thank you for any thoughts you guys might have. I'm a bit baffled. -Mari
