Hello, thanks:

I've got a bunch of clips in my playlist. I want to see what the total duration is.
I've searched online, I've tinkered...I can't see how to show the total run time!

Thanks for any tips.

Hello,

In the Playlist view, the total duration is displayed at the top of the left menu (Playlist item).

No problem with it here.

Are you using an overlay such as Windows Blinds or Classic Shell for example to change the way your OS displays menus? These can interfere with the way applications perform.

I have had this issue twice before and I nearly went insane checking every possible menu option as well as preferences. I have multiple computers with VLC and did not understand why one had the view "Hitchhiker" has above and others did NOT.

It is super simple.
That Navigation column on the left side can be completely collapsed to bring it back move your cursor to the left of the "Title" column till you see a double arrow "Left Click" and drag to the right.
If your cursor is too far left you will just resize the window.
