I also found this, reverted back to 2.2.3, sadly I was enjoying the ability to cast to Chromecast, but have found an alternative, I play a lot of media from my HDD on win10-64 and the interface flexibility is far better on VLC that MPC (MPC does not have the problem that both releases of Vetinari suffered for me) plus been using VLC since its inception and have learnt so much that it would be hard to use another option.
Please try to disable hardware decoding. Is it better?Hello there!
I'm finding the same issue. My VLC version is 3.0.3 VETINARI for Windows 10/64. The pc is an ASUS VivoMini UN65U-BM105M BGA 1356 2.40 GHz i3-7100U connected over HDMI to a DENON AVP-A1HD. The issue comes out opening blu ray folders stored on HD (media->open disk->blu ray). No problem for multichannel DTS HD MA; that issue on video is very annoying.
Many thanks.

Can you share what driver you have, please?Yes, the issue seems to be fixed for my 1080p files that is the resolution of my old TV. Many thanks!
