Deinterlace modes not working correctly

Postby LilWiz » 05 Jun 2018 13:29

Hi, I recently updated VLC to the current version (3.0.3) and now the various deinterlace modes aren't distinct like before. I used to use 'Yadif (2x)' to show something like a 25fps 1080i video at deinterlaced 50fps, but now it's simply deinterlacing and showing 25fps for every single option. Each one produces an IDENTICAL output. How can I fix this bug? Cheers

That's probably because it's using the hardware deinterlacer. Depending on your GPU it may not support all the possible options. You may disable hardware decoding but then it will use a lot more CPU.

Thanks mate. Disabling hardware acceleration did the trick.
