ok nothing happens no video or audio nothing it has worked fin in the past i have tryed reinstalleing and updateding nither works here is the debug of turning it on

i dont know how to do a full debug. what happens is nothing it is like it is trying to open the file and cant. befor it would take a sec then it would start now it wont . i have tryed clicking on videos and useing open i just get to the player and noththing starts it does say the file it is trying to open in the bottem right. i have tryed reinstalling and useing a older ver

Do you mean nothing more appears in the log after what you pasted ?

Does it happen with all video or only this one ?

Could you try going in preferences, in input/Demuxers and check the "recreate AVI index" box, restart VLC and retry ?

no i mean no video no sound nothing. all i get is the file it is trying to play in the corner. no files work i have tryed others even ones that worked at one time. i do not know how to make a full debug

ok i found a setting called verbosity and set it to debug then put msg on
