VLC Plugin Errors.

Hello everyone.

Whenever I try to use the VLC plugin for the Opera browser I always have to click the following error messages:

"Procedure Entry Point INITONCEEXECUTEONCE could not be located in the dynamic link library Kernel32.dll"

and...

"Procedure Entry Point STRTOK_S could not be located in the dynamic link library MSVCRT.dll"

Since I did not program the Opera browser this is not an app of mine and some other guidelines I've seen cannot be applied here.

Any help here? It's a minor problem, but it does involve a trick for letting a 2001 Sony laptop stream 360p videos from several websites.

Thanks!

Make sure you have a supported Windows version. This looks like the type of error you get on Windows XP/2003.

It is Windows XP Home Edition- it's a 2001 Sony VAIO, still trying to get Undertale running on it- and I'm currently using VLC version 2.2.8.

This problem does not occur with Firefox (40). The VLC Player itself works perfectly.

It only occurs when using the VLC plugin with Opera browser, say when streaming an MP4 video (there's a trick for this).

By the way, is there a trick for deliberately dropping video frames so larger videos can be played? The Options are somewhat confusing there.

My guess is that your Opera browser version does not really support XP anymore.

It's an older version of Opera.

The video does stream- you just have to first click away those two warnings.
