VLC - art folder?

Hi, is there a setting to stop\limit VLC from creating hundreds of file and folders inside:
\AppData\Roaming\vlc\art\arturl\
\AppData\Roaming\vlc\art\artistalbum\

You may try --no-auto-preparse.
For attachments stored inside files there doesn't seem to be a way to stop it.

Mm.. but what does this feature do exactly?
Does it retrieve pics from inside the files or from an online db? (not a fan of the second option, without user permission)
Also, all these temp files aren't great for the SSD.
And btw VLC doesn't seem to clean them.
