Hello

I have some avi-files that VLC plays, but without sound.

Under statistic - is says no packets decoded.

VLC plays other files fine - and the avi's in question is played back fine - with sound in quicktime.

OK that's a DV Type 1 file where the audio is muxed in the same track as the video. I think we should support that.
Can you try with '--demux=avformat' ?

Also can you upload the sample somewhere ?

The sample is 1.3GB - so I don't really know where to put it.

You don't need to send the full file, you just need few MBs from the start

I also have problems with .avi files captured with WinDV from a Digital8 camcorder.
Here a small sample file with no sound:

Also, AVI DV files (Type 1 and Type 2 when sound is ok) have another problem that when it reaches by normal play or I seek past exactly 18m:45s, the image and audio become noise, like this:

If I seek back before 18:45 then everythink goes back to normal until it reaches this exact point again.
I cannot upload a sample larger than 19minutes, it is huge.

Both problems fixed in the latest nightly.
