I have a .iso file both on disk & on my SSD and neither will play in any of my computer disk players while the disk plays fine in my set top DVD player. What's going on?

I tried to do as you ask but there are so many downloadable files with that number and with the same date that I don't know which to use. Could you clarify?

Hello,

can you try this version ?
https://nightlies.videolan.org/build/wi ... -win32.exe
No joy. Just a crash and error message. BTW, I've since come across several other disks created in the same way displaying the same symptoms. These disks were originally created several years ago as personal backups using a program called DVDFAB version 9. Since SSDs have become affordable I'm trying to move my backups to SSD using Imgburn to create the .iso. Some work & some don't.

Hello,

could you provide a sample of an ISO causing a crash?

open an issue on https://trac.videolan.org
you can upload the sample on https://streams.videolan.org/upload/

Could you provides some logs of the application? (tools -> messages , set verbosity to 2 before playing the media)

The upload site you provided limits size to 1GB. Any sample I would send you would be DVD size (about 5GB). Also, I don't know how to create the logs you requested.

Hi perhaps you can send this on a public file sharing (wetransfert, dropbox, ...). you can PM me the link if the video is private.

If you can't get the log because the application crash, you can save logs to a file by launching from command prompt (cmd.exe)

cd C:\Program Files\Videolan\VLC
vlc.exe -vvvv --file-logging --logfile log.txt
