Snapshot filenaming error

Postby daffdaemon » 18 Mar 2018 21:15

VLC 2.2.6 umbrella
OS: Windows 7

I thought snapshots were being given system time-stamp; but on closer inspection the file naming is revealed to be a total mystery!

A series taken within a few seconds:

within a few hours:

I haven't changed the snapshot naming preference. It is set to "vlcsnap-"
Are there variables documented that can be entered?

snapshots are formated as "{perfix}{year}-{month}-{day}-{hour}h{min}m{sec}s{msec}.{ext}" .
This seems to be working properly with vlc 3.x, could you test with the latest version?
