how to set default letter for DVD player

how to set default letter for DVD player

I have 3 on my explorer: X (virtual one), Y and Z

and VLC has X as the default one

where can I go and tell him to use Z?

I searched through the options but could find anything suitable

ok, sorry guys, 1st post yet this is an autoreply..it seems I had not searched thoroughly enough :oops:

so I guess
Input/Codecs -> General
is the right place to set one's preferences for the default devices :)

ok, my problem seemed to be solved, but it's not unfortunately.
I set the default locations in the options..but when I press the play button, VLC goes and search the dvd in the X drive! :x

how can that be?

please help!

You have to save your preferences and restart VLC.
