VLC 3.0 screensaver issue

I installed VideoLAN 3.0 last night and started using it today. Came across an issue that was not present in the previous version 2.2.8.

With 2.28 when I paused the video it would still disable the screen saver and prevent it from coming on. The same happened when the video is playing. With version 3.0 the screensaver is not disabled when the video is in pause mode. I checked Disable screensaver in Advanced Preferences.

Has this function been removed or has it been hidden?

VLC 3.0 64 bit on Win 8.1.
Screensaver coming on whether movie is paused or playing. Didn't want to get up every 15 minutes to wiggle the mouse so went back to 2.28.
I'll try the 32 bit VLC later on.

I think this is a good idea. If you pause the video, maybe, you're going to sleep... so powercfg requests can be easily skipped to make screesaver/standby/hibernate modes triggering again. I think this is a good idea, and, for me, is intentionally wanted! Let us known... maybe you can insert a flag in Prefs to make user choose.

It would be good if there was a way to allow the user to choose whether VLC would disable the screen saver when paused. Maybe a checkbox for different modes. One for when video is playing and one for when it's paused.
