VLC Artifacts/Banding

Postby RMJ » 24 Jan 2018 20:54

I have an issue with the playback quality of an exported video.
The playback in VLC gives me lots of artifacts and banding issues which are not present when I re-import the video into after effects, or play it with Media Player Classic.

Here is the video without artifacts, MPC

Here is the VLC version
http://www.imagebam.com/image/624051729187103

I have VLC ver 2.2.8 for Windows 64

The video codec stats in vlc are:
Codec:Google/On2's VP9 video (VP90)
Resolution: 1920x 1080
Decoded format: Planar 4:4:4 YUV 10-bit LE

Any help is appreciated.

That seemed to have fixed it.
Thanks so much!
