VLC won't play live streams from youtube

VLC player doesn't play live streams from youtube. The others, not live stream videos, it plays fine but live it doesn't. Why?

Works fine for me with VLC 3.0.0 RC
nightly build.

I tested the streams on the night build and it works on it, but on the main VLC it doesn't.
By the way, isn't the version 4.0.0 the latest night build version?

Yes, but VLC 3.0.0 is on RC stage and will be the next main release version soon.
