Need to extract a video track from a dual track MP4 file

Postby folepi2 » 11 Dec 2017 06:39

Yuneec Electric Aviation introduced a camera for aerial videography (CGO-ET). There are two cameras that operate as one. A 1080p low light camera and an IR camera. When recording video both clips are stored in a single MP4 file. When I play the file with VLC player, two windows open. One for the 1080p and one for the low res IR.

When trying to edit the clip in PowerDirector 16, only the 1080p shows and the program does not recognize the IR clip. I need to extract the IR clip so that I can edit the video. I'm looking for a method to do this.

File information is here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1QM81jL ... sp=sharing
Sample video is here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1NuxaRU ... sp=sharing
Screen shot is here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1y1r9MI ... sp=sharing

Hi,
1) drag n drop your video file into mkvtoolnix -> https://mkvtoolnix.download/downloads.html
2) uncheck the first video track
3) Press the 'Start multiplexing' button
4) Open the MKV file located in the destination folder. The MKV file contains the IR video track + audio.

You, Sir, are a lifesaver. That worked perfectly. It will save hours of tedious screen recordings.
