How to disable Screensaver while playing video

How do I disable that the screensaver starts while playing a video? Is there such a function like with the WMP?

I suppose you are using VLC 0.8.2.
If you want to use this feature you should download vlc-0.8.4-test2
In the new version it is enabled by default.
