It seems like such a easy option but I cannot find it. When I have a movie file open and click to start another one...I'd like to know how to make that 2nd movie start in the same window. As in, only one movie would be open.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks...

Goto Settings->Preferences...
Click Advanced Options...

Click the tree item Advanced->Other...

Allow only one running instance... Check

Click Save

Close VLC, and it's done.
