Stream disconnect and reconnect

Hej

I have the following links that worked at least yesterday (but I have the same issue with others link of the same kind

http://185.2.83.209:8000/live/123456/123456/1860.ts

When I play this link in VLC player, it disconnect and reconnect about every 30 secs. The are no errors messages, just the same link http://185.2.83.209:8000/live/123456/123456/1860.ts appears at the bottom, like when I started the stream the first time.

It disconnects and it "buffers" the last 2-3 seconds of the stream and then is in sync again.

I use "loop all" setting. If the links does not work today, I can maybe provide another one

Any help?

I have screenshot but cannot find out how to insert it

Thanks in advance

We need a real working URL for testing purposes.

Anyway, I believe this TS belongs to a fragmented stream which is driven by an M3U8 playlist. The fragments use random numbers which are generated on the fly and which can change every hour, every day, who knows. There is no logic behind this. Not to mention security tokens might also be used.
So you'd better use the URL of the playlist rather than any direct TS stream.

Hello and thanks

You are right, the link comes from a playlist https://www.dailyiptvlist.com/italy-wor ... -aug-2017/

You can try... when you open the stream https://dailyiptvlist.com/dl/it-m3uplay ... -08-14.m3u
It starts fine with Rai1 HD but after 30 secs it stops for a sec and restart again with the last seconds previous the stop and re-sync again immediately.

I get the same problem : https://forum.videolan.org/viewtopic.php?f=14&t=139865

Thx for your help if there is one.

About "TS belongs to a fragmented stream" other friend didn't expect the problem, so I didn't thing it is that.

Please try with VLC 3.0.0 nightly build, a recent one.

It's playing fine for me with this version.

Hello

I use normally the 3.0 version too, but it did not work. After 30 seconds instead of disconnect and reconnect as described, the screen turns green and I can only hear audio.

It does not work.

I use the official one now because at least the video was not green.

You can test with this link the reconnection after 30 secs.

http://185.2.83.209:8000/live/123456/123456/1860.ts

It's audio only, video is not showing, but it does the same of the channels where video is also working

After about 30 secs. it seems the VLC re-negotiate the connection and reconnect immediately sometimes in sync sometimes with a short buffer of a second.

Please let me know if there is a way to avoid this short break during the stream.

For testing video and audio with same scenario, try this link http://185.2.83.209:8000/live/123456/123456/693.ts

Thanks in advance :D

PS I tested both 2.2.6 and 3.0 last version

I have not green screen, in 2.2.6 but it just restarts the video after 20 secs.

If I use this link a play some channels, it disconnect and reconnect as usual after 30 secs. with a short buffering before it is in sync again

Well it seems that VLC re-negotiate the connection every 20-30 secs.

Otherwise I cannot explain why it does so. Sometimes it buffers the last 2 secs, sometimes it jumps forward without "replaying" the previous scene.

Any explanation?

Same feeling

But I know people who did'nt get this problem (they use the last version, not the beta 3).

Question of configuration, memory ???

Is there a way to monitor the incoming flux ? Perhaps it is the provider.

Versions 2.x are not good with HLS, use VLC 3.0.0 nightly build.

Hello,

Yes, i am seeing the same with VLC player for almost all the media stream channels that i am playing.
There is a connection>buffer>play>connection-end cycle every 25-30 secs.

When i see my BW graph it is stopping in timely fashion, without any external trigger.

sample URL to verify with latest VLC:

Hello,

Just to update, i have tried streaming the same channels using different versions of VLC.
Tried various versions from release 1.1.x to 3.0.x, verified with 6 versions. The problem stays.

Please let us know if you advice any streaming channel that wont behave this way while streaming?

If you have green or grey artifact on playback,
that means you don't have enough bandwidth.
Or you don't use 3.0 with new cache.
Again, no logs, no possible check, so no fix.

Hardly seen such broken stream.

There is NO vlc issue. That stream is crap. Technically isn't not even a stream.
