I have a routine for transcoding a YouTube stream to audio. It works well. The routine has been pared down as much as I can figure through the GUI. The next thing I would like to accomplish is automating the process to transcode more than one stream to individual files. When I succeed I intend to describe the process here for future reference. Since I'm not a developer it's the only way I can figure to contribute.
I asked a question on this forum and the developer who responded mentioned a "wizard." Is the GUI the wizard or is there something in the GUI that I'm missing? There's more than one way to start my routine but they seem to merge.
Logs: Is the "Messages" functionality the same as logs? I'm using debug messages for the source of my command strings.
Briefly what I do is:
Copy the URL to the clip board
Enable level 2 Messages > Advanced open > network > paste > [select] >
The URL appears in the playlist
Double click the URL , the stream begins, > [pause] > [toggle playlist] (the clip title now appears)
Right click the title > Save... > [complete the Save dialog] > and after a moment the output appears as a file, thank you very much
So here are the questions:
Is the GUI as-a-whole the wizard?
Is the only log output that applies to crafting a command line process the "Messages" output?
Is there a way to transcode a playlist serially to files in the GUI, instead of transcoding them individually one-at-the-time?
Thanks in advance, Daddy-o
