VCL converting Can audio hiss be removed?

Postby vinckles » 23 Jun 2017 01:37

Hi,
I understand VCL Media Player can be made to work as a Video Converter, converting to mp4.
I have some mp4 videos with loud hiss, like fish frying, on their audio sound tracks. Are there any filters or Noise Gate facilities on VCL Media Player which would let me clean up the audio tracks before preserving or converting them to the finished mp4 format? I have been searching for a video converter or even a video editor with audio filters to remove hiss, but without any luck. It would be just great if VCL Media Player could actually do the job!

I also have an mp4 I downloaded from youtube, of an old 1950's American tv show, which has a noticible loss of picture to sound synchronisation. The fault is clearly on the youtube original and not the fault of my pc; downloader or vid converter. Can VLC Media Player re-adjust this out of sync mismatch before I preserve or convert it to a finished mp4?

Finally, where can I find explicit tutorial instructions of how to actually play a video on VLC Media Player and convert it from the very start of the video. I don't want to spill or loose a single frame of the video.
