Hi there,

I am using the following setup:
Win10, fresh install
Computer with integrated graphics
Recent VLC version
WinTV HVR-5525 card
Cable with approved signal incoming

I am trying to do the following:
The cable has a signal with 330 MHz, 6900000 bauds and 256 QAM modulation. First I want to just view this channel (it works with a standard set-top-box using the same cable) with VLC. Second I want to stream this signal to my LAN using VLC.

Here's my configuration:

Code: Select all

dvb-c://frequency=330000000:modulation=256QAM:srate=6900000 :dvb-adapter=1 :dvb-network-name= :dvb-inversion=-1 :dvb-transmission=-1 :dvb-guard= :dvb-code-rate-hp= :dvb-code-rate-lp= :dvb-hierarchy=-1 :dvb-plp-id=0 :dvb-a-modulation=256QAM :dvb-a-fec= :dvb-a-count=0 :dvb-a-interleaving=0 :dvb-b-modulation=256QAM :dvb-b-fec= :dvb-b-count=0 :dvb-b-interleaving=0 :dvb-c-modulation=256QAM :dvb-c-fec= :dvb-c-count=0 :dvb-c-interleaving=0 :dvb-srate=6900000 :dvb-fec= :dvb-stream=0 :dvb-pilot=-1 :dvb-rolloff=-1 :dvb-ts-id=0 :dvb-polarization= :dvb-lnb-low=0 :dvb-lnb-high=0 :dvb-lnb-switch=11700000 :dvb-network-id=0 :dvb-azimuth=0 :dvb-elevation=0 :dvb-longitude=0 :dvb-range= :dvb-major-channel=0 :dvb-minor-channel=0 :dvb-physical-channel=0 :live-caching=5000
Here's the error log:
ts error: libdvbpsi error (PSI decoder): TS discontinuity (received 9, expected 13) for PID 257
ts error: libdvbpsi error (PSI decoder): TS discontinuity (received 11, expected 10) for PID 257
ts error: libdvbpsi error (PSI decoder): TS discontinuity (received 13, expected 7) for PID 0
And endless more of those.

Maybe interesting: After waiting for several minutes the Window size adjusts. Seems like some information arrives.

If you need more information, please ask! I'll answer asap.

Maybe the DVB-C is encrypt? Here in Austria it is common that the is encrypt and in the Setopbox there is an Key inside who encrypt it.
