Hotkeys are shown for Previous ( p ) & Next ( n ).

I presumed that this meant then the player was paused one could move to & display the Previous or Next frames.
However, when I try these keys the video closes down and I lose the display. Is this normal ?

Is there any way to step through the frames & disply them so as to be able to take a Snapshot of particular ones ?

p and n are for the previous and next playlist items.
There is no way to move frame by frame in VLC (search the forums to have more details on the reason).

Failing that, is there any way to open up VCL Player paused, i.e. with the 1st frame of the movie displayed and then start the player manually & also, after playing, to have the last frame displayed rathen than close down automatically.

It would be nice to be able to get a snapshot of the first or last frame.
