Disable Check for updates in the menu

Hello,

I'm sorry if I'm in the wrong section. Sorry for my English too.

I've been looking for a solution to my request but didn't find it.

I have an .msi of VLC 2.2.2 and I want to disable the option "Check for updates" in the Help menu so users cannot try to update the soft.

Is there any option, property, component, registry key I need to change so that can be possible?

Thanks for your answer.

Tools -> Preferences -> Interface
At the bottom untick the Activate Updates Notifier option.
Save, exit and restart VLC.

Thank you for your reply, but my issue is not about disable notifications.

I want to know if it is possible to dismiss "check for update" in the Help menu

I double that.
It would be really nice especially in Terminal Server environments to hide the "Check for Updates" option in the Help menu in order to prevent normal users to even try to update vlc by themselves.
This should be either done by setting a registry value un the HKLM hive or adding a setting into the vlcrc file.
