VLC now won't work, since upgrading version of windows 10

This is the message I get,( File reading failed:
VLC could not open the file "D:\" (Bad file descriptor).
Your input can't be opened:
VLC is unable to open the MRL 'file:///D:/'. Check the log for details.) I was able to play my DVD's when I first downloaded VLC' but since I upgraded windows 10, which was already on this new computer anyway, they now won't play! Would anyone be able to help me with this. Thanks all

Reset all settings for preferences and cache as described here: https://wiki.videolan.org/Reset_Setting ... s_from_VLC

The VLC works perfectly for me on three machines under Windows 10.
