There is no VideoLAN support link: the software is free and thus nobody gets paid to provide the would-be user support.
Thank you, I have used free software in the past that had a Support facility, admittedly they eventually offered an uprated subscription version (Like Malewarebytes, Mailwasher, etc.
I just hoped there was some Pro Support.
Also, thanks lotesdelere, I am a bit cagey of using Beta versions of things, as I am not really competent to deal with any unwanted side effects.
I am a bit surprised that nobody else has had this problem, but |I suppose the upside is that its probably the first time in my nlife I have ever been involved in something unique.
