Where is the log file

Postby hmazuji » 03 Jun 2016 19:33

1. before creating a new thread, i searched the forums and found:
either %appdata%/vlc or VLC\ program files folder
a vlc-log.txt file

2. i searched for vlc-log.txt, and looked in the appdata folder, but didn't see what i was searching for

3. i am looking for a log file for a error message trying to evoke vlc for scheduling. the schedule worked; it tried to play the alarm. vlc didn't work

4. this is the command line in scheduling:
C:\PROGRA~1\VideoLAN\VLC\vlc.exe "E:\My Music\5th Dimension\definitive collection disc one\02 go where you wanna go"

5. sorry, i can't post the error message. i could snapshot, but don't see how to attach

6. after reviewing the forum rules "Please post only Windows specific questions in this forum", i have to specify " where is the log file in xp "

4. this is the command line in scheduling:
If the program or script takes command line arguments, you can supply these arguments in the Add arguments (optional) text box
An' if ain't broke, then don't try to fix it...
