Auto change resolution for every video

Postby TheElf » 20 May 2016 00:53

Hi, sorry my english

I realize that 99% of my videos are 640x480, 720x480 or 720x576, for now, what I do is just change the resolution before going fullscreen by hand... there is any way to change the resolution to match the video one automatically?

I like to avoid any kind of scaling, the quality is better if the resolution match 1:1 the video

Windows XP x64 - latest VLC

Thanks

From "Tools" menu, select "properties".
From "Interface" tab, tick "Resize interface to video size".
And press the "Save" button.

Hi, thanks to reply

But i think this, just resize the VLC window, not change the resolution, true?

I need VLC change resolution, to match video size

VLC automatically change resolution according to viewing area.
Changing resolution manually doesn't improve quality.

I dont know what im doing bad, but my VLC install dont change resolution automatically on fullscreen. I tried different versions from 1.x to 2.x, no luck

Well, i can appreciate less blurriness if resolution matches the video, because no scaling

Converting low resolution video to high-resolution doesn't improve video quality! When you play low-resolution video to high-resolution screen, you get blurry images. That's natural, If you want to have clearer images, you need to get high-resolution videos!
