VLC 2.2.3 .mov crash *bug report*

New versions crashes on .mov files.

Frustrated at the moment. The last version 2.2.2 had .wmv audio issues. Wasn't fixed for months until 2.2.3. Now VLC crashes on .mov files.
Do you guys not do any sort of testing on your software before release?
I thought this was the point in opensource software. These sort of easy bugs should have been caught through community testing pre release.
